Overview

The Patient Care Assistant I supports the healthcare team by providing essential care to patients in an inpatient setting during evening shifts.

In Short

• Work evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
• Assist patients with daily living activities such as hygiene and meals.
• Communicate changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients.
• Participate in patient restraint procedures as necessary.
• Work every other weekend and holiday.
• Must have Basic Life Support certification.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support or Heart Saver certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English clearly.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.
