Nursing Assistant - Evening Shift - Remote

Overview

The Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, supporting patients with daily activities and maintaining a safe environment.

In Short

• Provide constant observation for patients at risk for injury.
• Obtain and report vital signs and perform blood glucose testing.
• Ensure safe patient transportation and report changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care activities and vital signs in electronic medical records.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Follow infection control guidelines.
• Precept new nursing assistants as per department orientation.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Utilize resources responsibly in patient care delivery.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development stages to patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• One year of nursing assistant experience or completion of a nursing assistant training program.
• Current nursing assistant certification (CNA) preferred.
• Participation in the MRMC nursing assistant training program is acceptable.
