Platform Manager - Remote

Overview

Business Wire is seeking a Platform Manager focused on modernizing and maintaining our infrastructure operations as we transition all operations into cloud native environments. This role requires technical leadership and hands-on individual contribution.

In Short

• Lead cloud migrations.
• Drive application containerization using Kubernetes.
• Implement disaster recovery planning.
• Establish Kubernetes best practices.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Apply AWS best practices for cloud architecture.
• Participate in security audits and remediation efforts.
• Transition to immutable infrastructure.
• Expand usage of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Mentor team members and lead upskilling initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with GitOps tools and principles.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Understanding of cloud security principles.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
