Commercial Underwriter III - Remote

Overview

The Commercial Underwriter III provides accurate and timely credit underwriting to support the company’s portfolio management and new business development efforts.

In Short

• Manage and lead a team of Commercial Underwriters.
• Review loan presentations for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct meetings to discuss issues, pipeline management, and workloads.
• Assist with the preparation of Commercial Credit Approval Request (CCAR) memos.
• Evaluate loan application requests for non-owner-occupied commercial properties.
• Analyze financial data and assess risk factors.
• Approve loans within defined authority levels.
• Participate in pipeline meetings for prospective opportunities.
• Provide recommendations on workflow processes and policies.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance.
• 7+ years of Commercial Credit experience.
• 2+ years in a Commercial Underwriter role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CoStar.
• Ability to analyze financial data and market trends.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Experience in cash flow analysis.
• Knowledge of Commercial Banking Loan Policy.
