Web Developer (d/f/m) - WordPress - Volunteer Position - Remote

Overview

The Federal Consumer Association is Germany's first independent organization where consumers represent themselves. We are free from state and party political influences and actively engage in bringing the interests of society into political dialogue.

We need your commitment and expertise as a Web Developer (d/f/m) for our strong marketing team, who not only knows WordPress but masters it.

In Short

• Development, maintenance, and optimization of WordPress websites and extensions
• Customization and extension of existing WordPress systems according to individual requirements
• Technical conception and implementation of new features as well as integration of interfaces (e.g., REST, SOAP, APIs)
• Ensuring performance, security, and code quality of WordPress projects
• Close collaboration with UX designers, project managers, and other developers (d/f/m) to realize user-friendly digital solutions
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

Requirements

• Several years of proven experience in WordPress development is essential
• Very good knowledge of PHP
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience in developing and customizing WordPress templates and extensions
• Proficient in relational databases (MySQL)
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Good command of German (at least C1 level)
• Willingness to work remotely and flexibly in a voluntary capacity
