Overview

As an Underwriting Product Consultant at Builders Mutual, you will leverage your industry expertise to support the development and strategic direction of commercial lines insurance products, working collaboratively with various teams.

• Support development and market positioning of insurance products.
• Conduct market and competitive analyses to inform strategy.
• Evaluate product performance and profitability metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Actuarial and Marketing.
• Contribute to new product conceptualization and enhancements.

• Assist in preparing rate and rule filings.

• Engage with agents and contractors to optimize product strategies.
• Serve as a technical resource for assigned lines of business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of experience in underwriting or product development.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance coverage forms and rating procedures.
• Advanced skills in interpreting insurance contracts.
• Ability to understand rating and statistical algorithms.
• Strong communication skills with various audiences.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Experience in market analysis and strategic decision-making.
