Overview

As the Founding Mid-Market Account Manager, you’ll be the first hire focused exclusively on growing and managing our mid-market customer base, overseeing a book of 100+ accounts and acting as the primary point of contact for strategic client relationships.

In Short

  • Drive net revenue retention through consultative upselling, cross-selling, and value expansion.
  • Build repeatable processes that scale account management and client success.
  • Own and grow a portfolio of 100+ mid-market accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across CPG and retail brands.
  • Identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Run quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with top accounts.
  • Drive improvements in NRR, churn prevention, and customer lifetime value.
  • Collaborate with Product to deliver feedback and advocate for customer needs.
  • Design and implement foundational AM processes.
  • Leverage AI tooling and automation to streamline touchpoints.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales or customer success in a B2B SaaS startup.
  • Proven success managing multiple accounts and executing expansion-focused strategies.
  • A commercial mindset — comfortable with revenue targets and driving impact.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.
  • A strategic thinker who can diagnose client needs and shape tailored solutions.
  • A builder who thrives in ambiguity and can create structure.
  • Highly organized, autonomous, and motivated by ownership.
  • Familiarity with CRM and automation tools like HubSpot, Clay, Apollo, and Sales Navigator.
