Activations Technician - Remote

Overview

Brightspeed is looking for an Activations Technician to join our team, responsible for testing and implementing services at layers 1 and 2, including Ethernet, while ensuring a high-quality customer experience.

In Short

• Complete activations for external customers.
• Partner with departments to troubleshoot activations.
• Troubleshoot post-activation issues.
• Process orders according to SLAs and quality standards.
• Manage the assigned queue to maintain service level objectives.
• Maintain and support network infrastructure.
• Provide accurate customer communication.
• Participate in overnight cutovers with customers.

Requirements

• Telecommunications or relevant field of study/work.
• Certifications in telecom or networking fields.
• Fundamental knowledge of the OSI model and Ethernet.
• Knowledge of Layer 2 Hardware and Software.
• Exposure to Network Design and troubleshooting.
• Must be able to work 3rd Shift (11pm-8am).
