Tax Director - Estate & Trusts - Remote

Overview

The Tax Director for Estate & Trusts will provide comprehensive tax compliance and consulting services to clients, while managing a team and building client relationships.

• Provide tax compliance and consulting services to Estate, Gift, and Trust clients.
• Develop innovative planning ideas to meet client expectations.
• Oversee complex tax research projects.
• Work with clients to minimize tax obligations.
• Supervise tax staff and manage service delivery.
• Establish relationships with estate attorneys.
• Build and manage client relationships.
• Generate new business through networking.
• Manage financial performance of the practice.
• Act as a coach and mentor to staff.

Requirements

• Licensed CPA and/or attorney.
• 15+ years of experience in public accounting or law firm.
• BS/BA in Accounting, JD, or LLM preferred.
• Understanding of Estate, Trust, and Gift planning.
• Experience with Trust Administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to create and manage relationships.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax programs.
