Peer Recovery Specialist - Remote

Overview

Boulder Care is hiring a Peer Recovery Specialist for a 100% remote, full-time position.

In Short

• Conduct patient engagement in accordance with Boulder Peer Recovery Specialist policies.
• Assist patients in identifying barriers to achieving sustained recovery.
• Assess patient progress and collaborate with Care Team members.
• Educate patients on available community resources.
• Facilitate placement for higher levels of care as needed.
• Provide social/emotional support and recovery-relevant resources.
• Maintain clear communication with patients and providers.
• Report situations that fall under Mandatory Reporting.
• Advocate for the patient population in company matters.
• Participate in continuing education to advance peer-assisted recovery.

Requirements

• 1+ years experience navigating opioid use disorder treatment resources.
• Peer certification in state of residence required.
• Certification as a National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist expected within 9 months.
• Minimum two years of recovery from lived-experience in substance use.
• Strong preference for individuals utilizing underrepresented pathways of recovery.
• High degree of trustworthiness and professionalism.
• Ability to reach out to local recovery resources.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-focused and effective collaboration skills.
• Demonstrates problem-solving and analytical skills.
