Nurse Practitioner - Remote Position

Overview

Boulder Care is looking for Virginia based Nurse Practitioners who are aligned with Harm Reduction principles and have experience prescribing Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) for a 100% remote, full-time, W2 position.

In Short

• This position is 100% remote.
• The Nurse Practitioner works directly with patients to deliver medication-assisted recovery for Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
• Empowers patients in their recovery journeys in coordination with the Care Team.
• Delivers compassionate and empathetic telephonic, text-based, and video-based patient engagement.
• Must have an active VA Nurse Practitioner license.
• Requires at least 1 year of experience prescribing Medication for Opioid Use Disorder.
• Full-time work (40 hours a week) with a Monday-Friday schedule of 10am - 6pm Eastern Time.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and video conferencing is preferred.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills are required.
• Must have a dedicated, private workspace with high-speed internet.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of addiction treatment experience.
• 3 or more years of clinical experience as an NP or RN preferred.
• Degree from an accredited school of nursing and a graduate-level nurse practitioner program.
• Demonstrated experience managing SUDs in a chronic care model.
• Specific experience transitioning individuals from illicit opioids to buprenorphine.
• Ability to gain approval for multiple state licenses and insurance company contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A dedicated, private workspace with a lockable door and high-speed internet.
• Must comply with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
• Due to privacy protocols, we cannot employ individuals who are or have previously been patients at Boulder Care.
