In Short

  • We're looking for an experienced Business Development Director to join our Expansion Team in Central Europe.
  • You will manage the relations with Issuers (mobile network operators (MNOs), A2A, ewallets, payment service providers and local payment method providers (LPM) and schemes), and merchants on the project basis where a local expertise and account management might be required in our efforts to expand the business with strategic merchants in the region.
  • This is a visible position that will define the payment strategy and help to achieve further growth for Boku in Europe.
  • It’s expected that in this role you will be the key commercial interface and responsible to identify, engage, develop, on-board and manage new and existing partners.

Requirements

  • A university degree/diploma in a related field; preferably in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in business development, project management, product development, payments, remittance or aggregation business.
  • Strong advantage if candidate has experience working in the Payment, Telco, eCommerce, FinTech; preferably in Mobile Payment, Alternative Payment, Local Payment Methods.
  • Superior communication and negotiation skills – must enjoy working with community of internal stakeholders and external business partners.
  • Relevant experience supporting technical partnerships and/or integrations.
  • Effective multitasking, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills.
  • Experience with BI (e.g. Tableau) and JIRA is a plus.
  • Fluency in German language is highly important for this role.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English (other languages will be a plus).
  • Ability to travel for internal and external meetings.
