Overview

The Director of Development, Midwest will lead the Foundation’s fundraising strategy across the Midwest, managing relationships with high-capacity donors and collaborating with executive leaders to secure significant gifts.

In Short

  • Manage a portfolio of 100+ seven-figure prospects.
  • Develop and execute strategic fundraising plans.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors.
  • Collaborate with regional fundraisers and other teams.
  • Use Salesforce to track metrics and enhance fundraising efforts.
  • Organize high-capacity donor events.
  • Secure approximately $10M annually for the Foundation.
  • Provide exemplary stewardship to donors.
  • Ensure timely creation of fundraising materials.
  • Support board members in their fundraising efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years in fundraising or donor relations.
  • Advanced understanding of philanthropy and moves management.
  • Experience managing high-capacity boards and volunteers.
  • Track record of closing gifts of at least $1M.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships in a complex environment.
  • Mastery of the Midwestern territory.
  • Bachelor's degree and CFRE credential preferred.
