Overview

The BDUK System Safety Auditor will be responsible for conducting internal and supplier safety audits, supporting the maintenance and advancement of safety auditing practices, and ensuring compliance with safety management plans.

In Short

  • Conduct internal and supplier safety audits.
  • Compile reports and track safety audit findings.
  • Support the development of the Safety Audit programme.
  • Liaise with Quality Management and other teams.
  • Monitor and review audit findings for timely closure.
  • Assist in external regulatory audits.
  • Contribute to process documentation and improvement.
  • Travel within the UK and possibly overseas.
  • Maintain a positive safety culture within the organization.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development.

Requirements

  • Experience in engineering or air environment.
  • Formal safety management training.
  • Advanced user of safety reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of MOD Defence Standard 00-056.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Lead audit training and experience.
  • Ability to interact diplomatically with teams.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience (desirable).
  • Formal safety investigation training (desirable).
  • Experience in data analytics (desirable).
