Senior Systems Administrator - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of systems across hybrid environments with a strong emphasis on containerized infrastructure and Kubernetes orchestration.

In Short

• Administer and support Linux- and Windows-based systems across cloud, virtual, and on-premises environments
• Design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads with Kubernetes
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support CI/CD pipelines
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Helm, or Ansible
• Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging for containers and system services
• Lead system upgrade efforts and ensure systems are patched and compliant
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through automation
• Document infrastructure, processes, and deployment procedures
• Participate in an on-call rotation for production systems
• Assist in disaster recovery and high-availability strategies

Requirements

• Proven ability to administer containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency with Linux system administration
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, PHP)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and services
• Knowledge of web servers and proxies: Apache, Tomcat, NGINX
• Competent with database administration: MySQL, MongoDB
• Understanding of encryption technologies and security standards
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
