Overview

As a Lead Data Engineer at Blend, you will spearhead the data engineering teams and elevate the team to the next level, responsible for the architecture of new projects and selecting the tech stack.

In Short

• Lead the design and maintenance of scalable data platforms using Azure Fabric.
• Migrate legacy data infrastructure from Azure Synapse to Azure Fabric.
• Build and optimize data systems and pipelines.
• Develop and configure Databricks notebooks and pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Implement data governance and access control mechanisms.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Conduct advanced data analysis for decision-making.
• Apply QA testing practices within data workflows.
• Drive initiatives in Data Discovery and Data Quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience in Azure data technologies.
• Proficiency in Databricks and data engineering frameworks.
• Strong command of Python and SQL.
• Experience building data pipelines.
• Understanding of data modeling and data governance.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and mentor others.
