EMEA Financial Controller - Remote

Overview

The Financial Controller - EMEA will be responsible for the accounting and preparation of financial reporting for Blend EMEA, ensuring alignment with global accounting policies.

In Short

• Oversight of accounts payable and receivable.
• Cashflow management and forecasting.
• Monthly close processes and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Preparation of financial reports and variance analysis.
• Management of tax-related items.
• Yearly audit oversight.
• Payroll approval for EMEA entities.
• Improvement of department controls and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and financial legislation.
• Act as the first point of contact for financial stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Finance, particularly in a financial controller role.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• High efficiency and attention to detail.
• Experience in Big 4 or audit firms is a plus.
• Previous exposure to data/consultancy/technology-driven environments.
• Familiarity with EMEA financial controlling is advantageous.
