Data Scientist - Remote

Overview

As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in building and deploying scalable machine learning solutions that drive meaningful business decisions.

In Short

• Build, deploy, and monitor machine learning models for time series forecasting, classification, and pricing optimization.
• Convert exploratory notebooks and prototypes into clean, scalable production Python code.
• Set up and manage APIs for batch or real-time model serving and integration with business applications.
• Maintain and optimize end-to-end data and ML pipelines, ensuring seamless flow from ingestion to deployment.
• Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure model and code quality across environments.
• Collaborate with data engineers and DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD practices and support infrastructure using tools like Docker and Terraform.
• Refactor legacy codebases for maintainability, performance, and scalability.
• Utilize tools such as Databricks and version control platforms like GitLab for collaborative development and model lifecycle management.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or software engineering roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python, particularly with libraries such as scikit-learn, statsmodels, and pandas.
• Solid command of SQL for data exploration, transformation, and feature engineering.
• Experience with deploying models to production, serving them via APIs, and managing versioning with GitLab or similar tools.
• Familiarity with containerization and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Docker and Terraform.
• Practical knowledge of time series forecasting, classification models, and statistical analysis.
• Exposure to revenue management or pricing optimization techniques; knowledge of microeconomics is a strong plus.
• Experience with Databricks and/or Azure is preferred.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in ML workflows.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
