Staff Software Engineer, Mission Management - Remote

Overview

BlackSky is a real-time intelligence company that provides satellite imagery and analytics. We are seeking a strong engineer to join our Mission Management Engineering team to develop and maintain automated operations for our satellite constellation.

In Short

• Develop and track requirements for mission management products.
• Implement new features for mission management services.
• Test, debug, and document software functionality.
• Interface with various engineering teams for software product execution.
• Support operational tasks and ensure production stability.
• Provide 24/7 support during critical operations.
• Work with production code in Python and Go.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of software development experience.
• Fluency in Python and strong understanding of Go.
• Expertise in software design and algorithm efficiency.
• Strong team cooperation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage concurrent activities effectively.
• U.S. citizenship required.
