Overview

BlackSky is seeking a skilled and driven proposal and technical writer to lead the creation of compelling, compliant customer-facing proposals, white papers, and support capture efforts that expand BlackSky’s footprint across defense and intelligence customers around the globe.

In Short

• Lead writer and editor for proposals and white papers.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear statements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or related fields.
• At least eight years of technical writing experience.
• Strong writing, editing, and formatting skills.
• Experience with government proposals and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Shipley or APMP best practices.
• Ability to create compelling visuals for proposals.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to grasp complex technical concepts quickly.
• Process improvement mindset for proposal efficiency.
