Senior Technical Writer - Remote

Overview

CGS is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to provide consultative, analytical, and documentation support for a large Federal agency initiative, contributing to government innovation and collaboration.

In Short

• Full-Time position in Technology Support.
• Draft and develop technical documentation for IT projects.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to establish processes.
• Document projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects.
• Assist with user and admin level documentation.
• 5+ years of experience in technical documentation.
• Excellent writing and communication skills required.
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio.
• Willingness to pass background check/security screening.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with technical documentation development.
• 3+ years of experience with user documentation.
• Fluency with technical summary and reporting techniques.
• Ability to work independently or in a group.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence/Analysis applications is a plus.
• Client-facing communication experience preferred.
• Federal Agency issued security clearance is ideal.
