Specification Writer (With SpecLink Cloud Experience) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Spec Writer to join our Greenville team. The Specifications Writer will utilize knowledge of construction products, materials and methods to write specifications and documentation for a variety of projects and building types and perform quality control. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Architecture or Construction Science Management.

In Short

• Review drawings and project information to write and edit specifications and documentation.
• Provide quality management reviews and technical advice in design development.
• Regularly meet with construction team to monitor change order occurrences.
• Collaborate with peers to develop best practices.
• Maintain a library of commonly used specifications.
• Propose continual development of master specifications.
• Assist architects with shop drawing and product substitution reviews.
• Act as a risk management resource to advise project managers.
• Train and mentor team members in specification writing.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Architecture or Construction Science Management.
• Ten years of combined experience in architecture and specifications development.
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures and building codes.
• Experience in quality control and project documentation.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency in SpecLink Cloud is preferred.
