Intern, Business Operations, SRDO - Remote

Overview

The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Over the course of 10 - 12 weeks our interns gain industry experience while working alongside our talented team on meaningful projects.

In Short

• Assist with development of vendor/site contracting strategy.
• Analyze and negotiate budgets and contracting terms.
• Draft and/or review vendor and site budgets.
• Manage invoice/purchase order throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Develop and implement functional projects to improve department systems.
• Gain industry experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech sector.
• Work alongside a talented team on meaningful projects.

Requirements

• BA/BS in finance, accounting, legal, health sciences, or related degree.
• Must be available to work full time, 40 hours a week.
• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college.
• Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site.
• Strong computer skills in database management and document preparation.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a quick learner.
• Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
• Experience with MS SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, and other applications.
