Senior Financial Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for accounting and management reporting for operational sites across the Midlands & North West of England. The role works closely with the operational management teams to drive the business performance and ensure robust financial controls are in place.

In Short

• Oversee the development of robust financial plans including annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Ensure the regions are provided with an appropriate suite of reports, metrics and performance indicators and distribute information on a timely basis.
• Overall responsibility for delivery of monthly regional reporting including completion of management accounts within period end timelines and associated variance analysis, compiling reports for monthly review.
• Weekly flash reporting ownership and understanding to support regional general managers (RGM's).
• Undertake operational benchmarking and variance analyses to understand financial performance and to identify areas of improvement.
• Ensure the Group’s financial control policies are implemented and maintained at all times by the regions.
• Support business leaders in the development of investment appraisals.
• Visit operational sites providing financial reviews.

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience of working with and supporting operational colleagues.
• Management accounting experience gained in the service, logistics or waste industries an advantage.
• Strong system skills including advanced Excel, Power BI and preferably, Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication and problem-solving skills.
