Financial Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Financial Coordinator plays a key role in providing patients with the financial information and support they need to successfully navigate their recovery journeys.

In Short

• Act as a guide for patients regarding insurance and billing inquiries.
• Document financial clearance information and update records as needed.
• Research financial options for services not covered by insurance.
• Review patient accounts and ensure timely payments.
• Communicate financial information to clinical teams as necessary.
• Master technology tools to engage with patients effectively.
• Maintain accurate patient financial records.
• Develop new processes to enhance patient care.
• Complete administrative tasks and respond to patient messages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in customer service or healthcare.
• Proficiency in computer technology and multiple software systems.
• Experience with Mac/Apple and Google Suite preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of insurance plans and patient financial responsibilities.
• Analytical skills for accurate documentation.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working in diverse and collaborative teams.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
