Purchaser - Remote

Overview

The Purchaser operates within the project team and performs all operational purchasing tasks, from selection and request to issuing and elaborating the purchase order.

In Short

• Developing purchasing schedules and strategies for components.
• Contributing market and purchasing knowledge to the Project Purchasing Management Plan.
• Researching new developments in sustainability and safety.
• Drafting complete and accurate specifications.
• Issuing requests to the market and maintaining contacts.
• Evaluating received offers for completeness.
• Collaborating with project management on price comparisons and budget accountability.
• Conducting negotiations with market parties.
• Preparing necessary contract documents.
• Ensuring necessary information is stored in the project system.

Requirements

• Completed technical education at HBO level, e.g., Civil Engineering.
• Several years of experience as a work preparer and/or calculator and/or project experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a purchaser, with substantial experience in infrastructure works.
• Completed NEVI 2 training; NEVI 1 is a plus.
• Experience with various contract forms, especially Stabu, UAV-GC, or in construction teams.
• Experience with project-based work, preferably in construction combinations.
• Knowledge and experience with purchasing management systems (ERP).
• Preference for complex, integral, and multidisciplinary projects.
• Affinity for working in an international environment, with sufficient proficiency in written and spoken English.
