Overview

This position is a 1099 opportunity with the possibility of Temp-to-Hire at Bellese, a mission-driven Digital Services Company focused on innovative technology solutions for civic healthcare.

In Short

• Support SAS transition priorities and convert SAS code to Spark.
• Optimize Spark jobs performance and resource usage.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend software components.
• Research and build proof of concepts in the data space.
• Write clean, maintainable code adhering to coding standards.
• Perform thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Debug and resolve defects proactively.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies for effective communication.
• Assist in project estimation and planning tasks.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Apache Spark and Python.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 10 years of software development experience.
• AWS experience (S3, EC2, Glue, Lambda, etc).
• Understanding of software design patterns and algorithms.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in analytic programming and data analysis.
