Collections Specialist - Remote

Overview

As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and working to resolve past due and overall aged AR accounts, collaborating with sales teams and customers to address billing disputes and manage the collections process.

In Short

• Track and resolve outstanding payment issues and generate weekly aging reports.
• Initiate calls and correspondence with customers regarding A/R balances.
• Place collection calls and send written correspondence to customers.
• Monitor assigned accounts, including adjustments and reconciliations.
• Conduct research to resolve billing disputes and payment discrepancies.
• Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts.
• Collaborate with sales and management to expedite collections.
• Provide effective communication and follow-up with management.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Meet defined department goals and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
• A college degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based software.
• Timely and safe task performance.
