Overview

The Tender & Bid Team Leader at BD will oversee the tender and bid processes across the UK and Ireland, leading a team to ensure high-quality submissions that drive profitable sales and solutions for customers.

• Lead and develop a team of Tender & Bid Specialists and Administrators.
• Oversee end-to-end tender and bid processes and ensure compliance.
• Manage the BD Tender & Bid Database and develop model answers.
• Champion ESG, Sustainability and Social Value in submissions.
• Monitor performance metrics and generate reports for strategic decisions.
• Identify and implement process enhancements.
• Manage complex tender submissions with internal and external contributors.
• Consolidate commercial, financial, and technical inputs for bids.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tender and bid roles required.
• Familiarity with NHS procurement is advantageous.

Requirements

• Educated to degree level in business, science, or economics.
• 2+ years in a team leadership position.
• Skilled in drafting and coordinating complex tenders.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with TenderEyes and SharePoint is a plus.
• Ability to engage and manage a range of contributors.
