Senior Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer. In this fully remote role, you'll ensure the performance, security and durability of platforms (as well as maintaining the infrastructure and services required to support them).

In Short

• Fully remote position.

• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Expertise in Windows and Linux systems administration.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Proficiency in YAML and PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and/or Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Preferred experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Site Recovery Manager.
• Must adjust schedule for maintenance outside business hours.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
• 1 year of IT engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• Advanced knowledge of infrastructure technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional work ethic and strong initiative.
• Ability to articulate ideas clearly.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
