Entry-Level Actuarial Student - Remote

Overview

The Actuarial Division at BCBST is looking for an entry-level actuarial student to work with various actuarial models, set reserves, estimate risk adjustments, produce forecasts, and set premiums for our lines of business.

In Short

• Develop models for pricing, forecasting, or valuation.
• Retrieve and prepare data for model development.
• Monitor emerging experience and analyze actual vs. expected results.
• Present technical work results to supervisor and peers.
• Prepare documentation of methods and assumptions used in models.
• Perform technical peer review for others in the Actuarial Division.

Requirements

• BS or BA Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related field required.
• Completion of 1 or more Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
