Payroll Specialist - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven Payroll Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll administration across our global employee base. In this role, you will not only manage payroll operations but also look for smarter ways of working by using automation, tools, and data to improve accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience.

In Short

• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll administration.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors.
• Maintain and update data in relevant systems (e.g. BambooHR, Trinet).
• Prepare, process, and check monthly payroll data and reports.
• Answer payroll-related questions from employees.
• Spot process inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
• Work with internal teams to improve data flows.
• Help test and roll out new tools or AI-based solutions.
• Higher education in HR, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a payroll role.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Mexico’s payroll legislation.
• Experience with systems like BambooHR or similar.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Tech-savvy and open to new tools.
• Independent, organized, and accurate.
• Collaborative and service-oriented.
