In Short

• Contribute to AIoT Device-level Firmware Infrastructure.
• Develop Firmware for eLinux-based System-on-Chips and Microcontrollers.
• Work on Wireless technologies including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Cellular LTE.
• Support Electrical Engineering with Board Bring-up and Hardware Debugging.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and vendors.
• Drive Engineering Excellence with a test and metrics-first mindset.
• Mentor and support team members.
• Participate in the development of Manufacturing Software Provisioning and Calibration Tooling.
• Write and review Design Docs and contribute to documentation.
• Engage in innovative new work on Axon’s technologies.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8-12 years of real-world Industry Firmware or Embedded experience.
• Experience in programming with C, C++, Rust, Golang, and/or Python.
• Experience with Kernel and User-space Embedded Linux.
• Basic ability to read Datasheets and Schematics.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object Oriented Design Patterns.
• Experience with Cellular LTE and 5G Modems is a plus.
• Experience with Battery and Power Management sub-systems is a plus.
• Experience with Robotics and/or Flight Controls is a plus.
• Concise Technical Writing and Architecture Diagramming skills.
