Build Engineer (Italy based) - Remote

Overview

Axelera AI is a deep-tech startup creating a next-generation AI platform. We are looking for a Build Engineer to maintain and improve our software build and release processes.

In Short

• Develop and maintain build and release automation pipelines.
• Package software into RPM and Debian formats.
• Implement build systems for C/C++ and Python.
• Manage version control systems like Git.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate Docker and other tools.
• Configure Yocto or Buildroot for SDK images.
• Prototype SDK images using Packer.
• Influence CI architecture.
• Cache intermediate build artifacts for CI performance.
• Assist in defining release infrastructure and SDK hosting tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience as a Build Engineer or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Shell.
• Experience with build automation tools like Jenkins.
• Proficiency in Git.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of IaC principles.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ build systems.
• Experience with Python packaging.
• Familiarity with Yocto and Buildroot.
