Area Executive Director - Heartland - Remote

Come join our amazing team as the Area Executive Director of our Heartland Area! We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious leader who shares our vision of a world where all people with autism can achieve their full potential. With a territory that covers Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, this role leads a hardworking team that cultivates corporate and foundation relationships, executes events, and builds awareness, acceptance and inclusion in our key markets. The position is hybrid but needs to be based in St. Louis, MO.

In Short

• Drive growth and development of Heartland Area initiatives.
• Lead fundraising team and support their portfolio of events.
• Develop and execute area fundraising plans.
• Cultivate and acquire new corporate partnerships.
• Maintain a personal portfolio of high-priority constituents.
• Develop and manage an Executive Leadership Council.
• Implement a sustainable volunteer structure.
• Work with mission staff to integrate programs and initiatives.
• Lead Area staff in strategic planning and accountability metrics.
• Manage budgets and submit financial forecasts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of demonstrated leadership in volunteer management.
• Proven track record of multi-functional fundraising experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office 365.
• Database knowledge (Stratus Live and/or Luminate preferred).
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Ability to travel within Area and occasionally for overnight meetings.
• Hold a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
