Senior Policy Consultant - Remote

Overview

Aurrera Health Group is a mission-driven national health policy, strategy, and operations consulting firm focused on improving the health care safety net. The Senior Policy Consultant will assist clients in developing and implementing health policies and programs.

In Short

• Work closely with leadership and staff to achieve client goals.
• Provide project management support and develop work plans.
• Deliver high-quality work and participate in client meetings.
• Track project milestones and communicate project status.
• Research and draft complex policy papers.
• Assess and address complex policy issues.
• Engage with stakeholders including government officials and advocates.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work across multiple projects.
• Maintain strong internal and client relationships.
• Commit to improving access to health coverage.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in health care policy.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in Medicaid/safety net issues or behavioral health policy.
• Master’s degree in public policy or related field preferred.
• Experience with data analytics and storytelling with data.
• Previous consulting experience is a plus.
• Legal expertise is a plus.
• Experience with graphic design and WordPress is a plus.
