Billing Department - Data Entry & Insurance Verification - Remote

Overview

This position involves performing high-volume data entry and insurance verification in a remote setting, requiring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Remote work with company VPN access required.
• High-volume data entry of patient demographics, CPT/ICD codes, charges, and payments.
• Conduct insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
• Research and resolve claim edits/denials.
• Maintain daily work queues within SLAs.
• Follow HIPAA and company security policies.
• Prepare daily reports on claims and verifications.
• 1-3+ years experience in medical billing or insurance verification.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. insurance and billing systems.
• Typing speed of 45+ WPM with high accuracy.

Requirements

• 1-3+ years in medical billing/revenue cycle/insurance verification.
• Knowledge of U.S. insurance, EOB/ERA, and CPT/ICD codes.
• Experience with billing systems like Kareo or Athena.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Stable internet and power backup required.
