Overview

The University of Miami/UHealth Central Business Office is seeking a full-time Insurance Verification Representative to work remotely, responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and benefits to support patient satisfaction and authorization activities.

In Short

• Complete accounts timely to support patient satisfaction.
• Verify eligibility and benefits through various sources.
• Add and edit insurance information in UChart.
• Meet productivity standards for assigned work queue.
• Assist patients and practices with insurance-related questions.
• Communicate with health plans and Primary Care Physician offices.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure patients are aware of financial clearance issues.
• Maintain composure under pressure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Computer literate, EPIC experience a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Graceful under stress.
• Knowledge of insurances and authorization guidelines.
• Ability to assist patients of diverse backgrounds.
• Bi-lingual knowledge is a plus.
