Hybrid Work Model

At Assent, we proudly embrace a remote-first work model, valuing the flexibility and autonomy it provides our team. We also acknowledge the intangible benefits of occasional in-person workdays. For team members situated within 50 kms/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, Pune and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office at least one day a week. Similarly, those near our co-working spaces in Nairobi and Toronto are encouraged to work onsite once a month.

• Detail-oriented and technically skilled Data Governance and Management Analyst needed.
• Responsible for configuring and maintaining data stewardship workflows.
• Analyze and improve data quality across systems and domains.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define data standards.
• Use Generative AI to streamline processes and accelerate root cause analysis.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring data quality issues.
• Build and maintain dashboards using BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Support federated stewardship across business domains.
• Ensure compliance with governance policies and standards.
• Participate in agile projects to continuously improve data workflows.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in data stewardship, data quality, or data analysis.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong understanding of data quality principles and governance frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and experience with BI tools.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and data transformation tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and agile environments.
