Overview

Arootah is seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer Consultant to provide expert advice to Hedge Funds and Family Offices, focusing on investment and portfolio management risk needs.

In Short

• Consult with Hedge Funds and Family Offices on risk management.
• Develop and implement action plans for clients.
• Analyze portfolio and investment risk using quantitative models.
• Perform market and credit risk reporting and analysis.
• Monitor exposures and P&L arising from market moves.
• Assist in enhancing risk management methodologies.
• Create optimization models for Portfolio Managers.
• Ensure compliance with risk oversight processes.
• Help develop ESG metrics monitoring.
• Maintain detailed records of consulting results.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• CFA, FRM, or similar designation preferred.
• 8+ years as Chief Risk Officer in hedge funds or family offices.
• 3-5 years in risk management or data science roles.
• Familiarity with risk analysis applications.
• Strong quantitative/statistical knowledge.
• Proven programming skills in R, MATLAB, Python, etc.
• Knowledge of market risk methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
