Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Build and maintain highly available systems in the cloud
• Infrastructure as code development
• Support multiple projects simultaneously
• Write in-house tools focusing on automation and quality of life for the tech team
• Support, deploy, and monitor existing and new services, platforms, and application stacks
• Improve system observability to improve incident resolution time while decreasing false positives.
• Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
• Oversee technical deliverables while coaching and mentoring junior developers
• Collaborate with infrastructure security
• Interact frequently with Software and Solutions Architects
• Perform cost and utilization analysis on multiple infrastructures and work on savings proposals
• Actively recommend improvements for the system with an emphasis on utilizing the new advancements in the cloud.
• Weigh in on architecture decisions

Requirements

• Solid background as a DevOps engineer
• Software development experience
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, etc)
• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with infrastructure as code and Configuration Management
• Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python
• Experience with Observability tools and CI/CD tooling (Nice to have)
• Experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, Ansible, and Networking highly desired. (Nice to have)
• Flexibility to support multiple efforts simultaneously
