In Short

• Process FOIA requests from cradle-to-grave
• Review large record sets and apply redactions according to FOIA regulations
• Draft correspondence related to FOIA requests
• Manage FOIA admin files in accordance with office SOPs
• Proficient with USDA’s confidentiality statutes
• Prepare FOIA appeal packages for legal sufficiency review
• Support proposal efforts as needed
• Participate in meetings and solutioning activities
• Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
• Adhere to safeguarding and compliance requirements

Requirements

• Experience with FOIA processes
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of legal compliance related to FOIA
• Familiarity with USDA regulations
