ARETUM, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Business & Financial Analyst (Funds Control) to join our team. As a Junior Business & Financial Analyst at ARETUM, you will play a vital role in assisting with financial analysis and budgeting, funds control, and providing support in managing financial resources for our government clients.

In Short

• Apply the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) to perform, reconcile, analyze and monitor financial activities.
• Develop/advise on new or existing policies or procedures to improve accounting processes.
• Independently manage key operational accounting activities.
• Perform special projects and ad hoc support for budgetary accounting.
• Prepare the agency's Monthly Execution Report (MER) by object classification code.

Requirements

• Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting.
• Knowledge of Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) guidelines.
• Experience with financial systems and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train and manage less experienced staff.
