Overview

ArenaNet is seeking a passionate Animation Lead with extensive experience in the AAA production pipeline to create and oversee character and creature animations, fostering a supportive team culture.

In Short

• Create AAA animations for gameplay, locomotion, and combat.
• Collaborate with Design for expressive action gameplay animations.
• Develop an eye-catching animation style with the Art Director.
• Establish iterative workflows with Designers and Tech Artists.
• Manage and mentor the animation team.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
• Participate in teamwide playtests.
• Provide constructive feedback on animations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in the game industry.
• Ability to create strong gameplay animations.
• Deep understanding of kinetics and animation systems.
• Experience with Maya character animation workflows.
• Strong knowledge of UE4 animation systems.
• Problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations.
• Experience with motion capture data.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
