Overview

Aquabyte is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive the development, testing, and delivery of quality hardware products enabling cutting-edge analytics and automation of fish farms around the world.

In Short

  • Drive development of hardware products for fish farming analytics.
  • Work in a hybrid schedule: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.
  • Manage mechanical design consultants and iterate on designs.
  • Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of hardware products.
  • Enhance quality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness of hardware.
  • Collaborate closely with product and embedded system teams.
  • Focus on regulatory compliance for hardware in various geographies.
  • Improve quality control processes and hardware testability.
  • Stabilize prototype to production development.
  • Engage in failure analysis and environmental testing procedures.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • 2+ years experience with contract manufacturers.
  • 2+ years experience with injection molding.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (bonus).
  • Experience with underwater or marine-environment products (bonus).
  • Experience with agricultural and/or food-safe products (bonus).
  • Experience developing optical products (bonus).
