Remote Crane Controller

Overview

The Remote Crane Controller is responsible for operating automated cranes remotely to ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of containers and cargo from vessels, while coordinating with various operational teams.

In Short

• Operate automated Double Trolley Ship to Shore cranes remotely.
• Ensure safe loading and discharge of containers and cargo.
• Coordinate with lashers, deck clerks, and process controllers.
• Monitor crane operations and respond to notifications and warnings.
• Conduct pre and post inspections of equipment.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
• Participate in process optimization initiatives.
• Maintain continuous operation during shift changes.
• Follow all safety procedures and instructions.
• Communicate effectively in English and French.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant vocational education.
• Three years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial intelligence.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Valid driving license required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• No acrophobia or color blindness.
