Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Controller to join our financial leadership team at Wellness Equity Alliance, a dynamic medical organization focused on addressing healthcare inequities.

In Short

• Oversee all aspects of financial reporting and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee financial systems and software for improved reporting capabilities.
• Lead and develop a team to drive efficiency in financial operations.
• Collaborate with leadership to prepare and monitor budgets.
• Implement accounting policies to enhance internal controls.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 7-10 years of accounting experience, with 3-5 years in management.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis in healthcare preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare-specific regulatory compliance.
• Project management experience for financial process improvements.
