Remote Financial Controller

Overview

Dalstrong is an international kitchen knife and cookware e-commerce company seeking an experienced Financial Controller to manage all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget preparation, and internal control policies.

In Short

• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
• Manage all accounting operations and implement efficiencies.
• Work with finance, marketing, and operations teams during financial month-end close.
• Develop and execute internal control procedures.
• Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Additional controller duties as necessary.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accounting Certificate (CPA).
• 7+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Detailed knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience implementing best practices and internal controls.
• Experience with creating financial statements and managing month-end close.
• Experience with Netsuite or other ERP systems.
• Excellent accounting software user skills.
• Experience working with external auditors and vendors.
