Excitation Field Engineer - Remote

Overview

AP4 Services, a division of AP4 Group, is seeking an Excitation Field Engineer responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of GE and non-GE excitation and load commutated inverter systems.

In Short

• Full-time field service position requiring frequent travel throughout the United States.
• Perform on-site troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of excitation and LCI control systems.
• Provide technical direction during installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Read and interpret equipment schematics and manuals.
• Support sales and commercial teams with technical guidance.
• Respond to emergent calls from service manager after hours.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and guidelines.
• Complete safety training and other assigned training requirements.
• Work extended hours and on weekends as necessary.
• Travel for internal company events and industry conferences.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of experience in excitation/LCI controls.
• Knowledge of EX2000, EX2100, and EX2100e systems.
• Strong customer focus and communication skills.
• Team oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing demands.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
