Temporary Tax Director, Direct Tax - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Temporary Tax Director to lead our direct tax and tax provision functions in a dynamic, marketplace environment.

In Short

• Lead quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision processes.
• Manage deferred taxes and uncertain tax positions.
• Ensure SOX-compliant internal controls over tax reporting.
• Partner with global finance teams for timely tax return filings.
• Maintain documentation for transfer pricing and foreign tax credits.
• Monitor global tax reform developments.
• Identify strategic tax planning opportunities.
• Support M&A due diligence and structuring efforts.
• Evaluate the tax impact of digital marketplace operations.
• Collaborate with various teams to align tax strategy with business priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s in Tax preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in U.S. and international income tax.
• Strong expertise in ASC 740 and compliance.
• Proven ability to manage tax provision processes.
• Experience in fast-paced environments (eCommerce or SaaS preferred).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and tax compliance tools.
• Exposure to OECD Pillar Two or BEPS 2.0 implementation.
